Our pets want a bed for the same reason their two-legged parents do: comfort, security, and a supportive place to rest their tired bodies and get a good night's sleep. Pet beds can seem pricey, especially when they break down so quickly after washing and/or light to moderate use. We wanted to break the buy-throw away-buy-another cycle! We needed a pet bed that met the same comfort, support, and durability standards we expect from a people bed, with the added ability to wash the bed without it breaking down.

Their design principles are based on using Earth’s resources wisely. Big Shrimpy incorporates recycled materials where possible and builds products to last.
Big Shrimpy emphasizes manufacturing products that reduce the amount of natural resources withdrawn from the Earth. They do this by salvaging waste materials from other industries to use in their products, thus diverting waste from landfills and reducing their company’s demand for new raw materials and designing products to have a longer than average life in order to slow the cycle of throw-away-and-buy-another, again reducing the need for new raw materials.
